Climate panels are the invention of Chicago-area residential architecture and construction professional, Craig Schneider.
Craig is the owner of a sustainable renovation and consulting company that specializes in residential energy coaching.
In 2020, the pandemic shutdowns allowed Schneider to concentrate on formalizing the idea of his exterior retrofit panel design.
In the years since, climate panels have undergone the patent process, been the focus of a DOE Building Technology Office grant submittal, and are in the process of the first pilot installation.
Schneider and Sustained Ability are local to the Fox Valley area of Illinois. With over 20 years of experience designing, building, and consulting in the residential construction industry, they have gained a unique and well-rounded perspective on the state of housing in the United States.
